I suggest that everyone who hasnt seen this article, that is interested in a new Star Trek series.

An interesting read for sure! I cannot say i would be particularly happy if they decided to carry the series on from the JJ Abrams movie. However i did groan when they spoke of making Enterprise. A prequel to Kirk's Enterprise i felt wasn't getting us anywhere. Although now, after i gave Enterprise a chance it's really grown on me and i thoroughly enjoy watching it now. So who knows. Personally however i would like to see them continue from where Voyager and Nemesis left off, maybe 10-50 years later. I think this would be the best course of action because the interviews with Nemesis state that they thought it tied up all the loose ends. I disagree wholeheartedly. Yes B4 ended up whistling the tune to "Blue Skies", but what happened to him is he still active? Is he Data again? Not to mention the fate of the crew of Voyager, Deep Space Nine and the Enterprise- E.

I'm not expecting whole episodes dedicated to the subject, but a brief mention in one episode somewhere that B-4 is not Data but has all his memories and can now walk and talk like a normal android, But decided to join Starfleet Corps of Engineer's where he is currently working on creating androids improving upon his design of Lal. Or that the Enterprise-E was destroyed in a severe ion storm while mapping the Deltic Expanse with all hands, bar Jean-Luc who was on shoreleave at the time Or Sisko was promoted to Admiral at some point and died peacefully in his sleep one Saturday afternoon and that Janeway still had some Borg nanoprobes in her bloodstream from one of her previous encounters that were resistant to medication or whatever and sat dormant for 50 years before assimilating her and she unfortunately had to be vaporized by a security Ensign as she tried destroying McKinley Station, after successfully sending a message to the Borg, in an all but futile effort to cripple the Federation. Don't even get me started on Troi, Riker and the Titan...

I love Star Trek and despite my previous misgiving about Enterprise, i have come to love it. But in all seriousness...I've had quite enough of prequels and alternate universes. Lets just continue the story PLEASE!!

Agreed, its completely illogical to try to mess around in the past.
By moving the story ahead writers would be given A LOT more freedom of what they can do, and be able to write their own story without pissing off the fanbase.
They would not be restrained canonicly of what is to come, and able to have events unfold as however they see fit.

I hate these 'back-in-the-past' Star Trek fuck-ups.

Startrek Enterprise being set before TOS..... It's like making a prequel to Top Gear that reviews horses and carriages. Totally the wrong direction. Frustrating even. That's because people really like the futuristic element of trek, and devolving to "polarised plating" is a slap in the face. How can they not grasp this very basic concept?

Any way what is really important is to have a series that focuses on writing good stories again. That is what trek is all about.

If they even attempt to go back in the past again? I will not bother watching it because it will likely to be cancelled half way mid seasons. They need to focus on the future, like 10 years after Nemesis.

Enterprise had potential, only the cast and writers were shit. The crew seems like a bunch of red neck. It's hard to imagine that even after their third world war this was the best humanity had to offer. Sometimes the things they say makes me wonder if the series was not aimed at the Desperate Housewife audience. TNG was well written and the cast was exceptional, exactly the opposite of Enterprise.

It didn't have potential. It does only have potential when it employs cast from the Glorious British Empire. The Colonies... pehff... fucknuts.
