Now that the whimisicle title has caught your attention.....

I was on leave for a few days helping my grandparents move out of their house of 37 years.
Amongst other things helped them empty out the attic and discard old things... and its amazing the things that collect over the decades.
Like this Kaskara sword from Sudan that my grandfather brought home sometime in the late 60's or early 70's
Photo's at the request of Ciaran.

Looks sweet! That reminds me of some of the weapons (swords, maces, bows, etc.) I still have from my ancestors.

Have it cleaned though.

I will probally clean it up with some oil or wax to remove and protect from rust, but thats pretty much it.
Antique swords can easily decrease in value of cleaned up too much.
I also have a simple short sword thats in pretty rough shape rust wise as well, and unfortunately these two weapons have been stored in their leather scabbards for several decades, which isnt very good for them.
The short swords scabbard is actually adorned with real crocodile skin and a head.
