STO for a Lifetime

Care for a lifetime sub to STO?

Well, they're flogging it off again for the special price of $199.00 US or 128.00 GPB

but hang on, inst it F2P... anyway

In my opinion. They'll need to rework the Lifetime Sub to something a bit better than what they have on offer. I compare to the recent Battlefield Premium service (comparison below), where lots of different things are afforded to those who shell out the extra and where those features are entirely appropriate to the type of service on offer.

However, throw in a lower price tag + the above, and you might get me to part with the hard earned dollars.

No matter the rounding, no care about the things you get, your surely to see the $199 price tag for the $200 it actually is.

IMO Lifetime subs are only worth it, but risky, if adopted early in a games life.
For Day 1 adopters like me, the lifetime subscription has already payed itself off a long time ago.
However with F2P and with even subscribers having to pay extra for new ships and stuff, a lifetime subscription really does not have even a fraction of the value it used to have.

Lifetime subscriptions are for within maybe the first month of the game. If the game endures they pay themselves off rather quickly. However given the F2P model there is simply no point.
