Excalibur coming along nicely.
Star Trek Excalibur seems to be coming along nicely.
Have to say I'm impressed, as far too often these fan projects end up dead in the water after a few months to a year.
Great to see some real gameplay footage.

The trouble with these modifications is that it takes them way too long and eventually people are tired of waiting or the game is seriously outdated. A prime example is the Total War modification Europa Barbarorum II. It's a modification for Medieval II: Total War - this game was released in 2006 - and they have been working on it for about 6 years already. Since then 3 new Total War games have been released.
I mean... 6 years on a modification? How thick can your skull be?

When that becomes relevant I will agree, but their stage of development looks even better than STO visually.

This isn't a modification, this is an entirely new game being built from the ground up. :roll:Shroombuck wrote:The trouble with these modifications is that it takes them way too long and eventually people are tired of waiting or the game is seriously outdated. It looks preaty cool! I have always been kinda partial to intrepid classes so it would be nice to use one in a game where i wont get slaughtered cause of class limitations.
