To be fair, STO while it had its issues was a whole product that was released, and the lifetime sub didn't cost $2,500 USD.Kelbie wrote:You did the same with STO when that was already half brokenAlexraptor wrote:It never ceases to amaze me the cash people will burn on a product that isn't even finished!

Regardless of the price, you still paid for it.Alexraptor wrote:To be fair, STO while it had its issues was a whole product that was released, and the lifetime sub didn't cost $2,500 USD.Kelbie wrote:You did the same with STO when that was already half brokenAlexraptor wrote:It never ceases to amaze me the cash people will burn on a product that isn't even finished!

Yes I paid for a finished and released product.... well technically an MMORPG is never "finished".Kelbie wrote:

Re: Want to buy a Destroyer?
A $2,500 Internet Spaceship.
Let's put that into perspective with fun facts:
Let's put that into perspective with fun facts:
- $2,500 is enough to buy 500 Pumpkin Spiced Lattes from Starbucks (that one is for you Costello!)
- $2,500 is enough to buy about 3 iPad Air 2s with 128GB of storage
- $2,500 is half the price of some mailboxes
- $2,500 is enough to feed quite a few people in third world countries
- $2,500 is enough for a one way ticket from LAX to IAD first-class
- $2,500 is enough to buy one night in a suite at the Four Seasons, Langham, and a few other hotels
- $2,500 is enough to make one go on a shopping spree on Fifth Avenue before realizing she spent 3-4 times that much
- $2,500 is enough to feed quite a few mouths in third-world countries
- $2,500 is more money than some people have been killed for
- $2,500 is about as much as Janeway spends on phones each year because they somehow end up being killed in ludicrous situations (like spending 2 hours on the 18 foot end of a pool)
- $2,500 is more money than I spent on the Macbook Pro which I typed this list on
- $2,500 is more money than Alexraptor spent on Star Trek: Online
- $2,500 is likely the approximate value of Costello's current suit should he have some decent fashion sense
- $2,500 is the amount of money the owner of "Star Citizen" is rolling around in right now
- $2,500 is enough to support Federation Command on the AWS service for 1 year
- $2,500 is the approximate value of the outfit I'm currently wearing - and it so came together today
- $2,500 on an Internet Spaceship the size of Voyager is the definition of stupidity

Its like that argument where people refuse to purchase a V8 based on fuel economy. If you're buying a V8, you don't care about the price of fuel.
