Not sure i would credit Star Trek with it though, needle-less injections were always a scientific inevitability, and the logical next step.

Almost everything in startrek technology wise is possible. datapad I pad...I had an android app that made my phone work like a tricorder. It was measure gravity and magnetic forces. had a sector for sun activity and wifi signal analysis and gps satalite tracker built in. It was kinda cool and free.

The reason why I am a Star Trek fan if nothing else is no other TV show really comes close to advancing the thought and endeavour behind human existence. If you have never watched Star Trek, you must be a very limited person.
