Beta was fun, but I cancelled my pre-order because I am not willing to pay full retail price for a browser based game.

Yet you are willing to pay $200 or more for an online game, such as Star Trek Online?Alexraptor wrote:Beta was fun, but I cancelled my pre-order because I am not willing to pay full retail price for a browser based game.

Actually, BF3 was not based on a browser. So I don't know where you got that from. BF3 is close to MOH and BF2. But you're complaining over a £40 when you bought a game that is over the amount? lol you are strange :PAlexraptor wrote:Beta was fun, but I cancelled my pre-order because I am not willing to pay full retail price for a browser based game.

Well, Charles my friend, I suspect we will never understand the hardcore gamer. Luckily we've something else to spend 200 quid on, now don't we?Kelbie wrote:Actually, BF3 was not based on a browser. Its a browser game in the sense that the main menu is a pure website that launches you into game.Kelbie wrote:Actually, BF3 was not based on a browser. So I don't know where you got that from. Which means without access to the battlelog website for any reason its unplayable.
And that just makes a mere FPS not worth that kind of money.
Actually I'm glad I cancelled my pre-order after hearing of all the issues people are having and what a disappointment to many its proving to be.(no Commander mode for one.)
Picked up Bad Company 2 the other day for a bargain and having a blast with it.

Star Trek Online had loads of fucked up problems when it came out lol. Bad Company 2 is old and obsolete mate. There has been problems on the 360 servers for BF3, I'm not having problems on any of the servers on the PS3 so far.

Good lord; I remember the days when I used to be very excited when I bought a new game and when I could play it for hours on end. I don't have that anymore these days, I do not know why. In fact, I have not touched a game a months. Sometimes I do miss the sheer uncomplicated gaming; no thinking, no worries, just starting to play a game in the morning and ending in the evening.
Good old days, but alas real life is so much more important and beautiful now.

Obsolete? Hardly...Kelbie wrote:Star Trek Online had loads of fucked up problems when it came out lol. Bad Company 2 is old and obsolete mate. There has been problems on the 360 servers for BF3, I'm not having problems on any of the servers on the PS3 so far.
The game is only a little more than a year old you know, BF2 is like 6 and still going strong.
And there are still like a hundred active servers or more(I.E almost full), but then I am a PC gamer, playing Battlefield games the way they were meant to be played.
