Nasa said their new pulse ion engines can do mars in 30 days. Not warp but still It could be used in long duration misssions to explore the edge of the solar system but I would go any further than that.

Explore the edge of our solar system? It's a 33-year journey.

I am still amazed some editor didn't even correct the capitalisation of Galaxy class, never mind that it is wrong! I can sort of see the point.. but you'd need some serious tech to go fast enough to inspire anyone with the results of any exploration. A quick trip to Neptune and back would take longer than most peoples working lives, never mind attention span!
