Battleship? Unfortunately, the days of broadsiding each other at a distance of 15Km or more are over.

Air power, Missiles and Lasers :)

Still, can't beat a good ol'e Battelship. :D

Yes, the battleships were the most powerful warships during the 19th and 20th century, but they became pretty much obsolete after the Second World War, because aircraft carriers overtook them. The last battleship, the USS Iowa, was decommissioned in the 1990s.

Submarines are the new hotness, no other machine on Earth is able to deliver so much destruction so quickly, so silently, and so completely without retaliation. I think I'd be very pleased with a Submarine named after me!

Ever watched that film, Battleship? They got raped in their new warships but the USS Missouri did really well, and that was a Battleship from WW2 :)

If there was a war now? I am pretty sure the Battleships would still be effective to this day, Including their most experienced crew.

Technically, it would of been the new modern updated Warships that would of overtook the Battleships :P But yes, Carriers are cheaper than Battleships.
