Special Armada 1 Game

Post by Picard »

I think i'm in love. I just played Armada 1 over LAN (with Tunngle) with my girlfriend, how cool is that?

First ONLINE armada game since around 2006. Felt great, we played against the computer and surprisingly enough for someone playing for the first time and with a touchpad she did pretty good.
Thank you,

What Op Sys are you playing on? Will this run on Win7?

You know, you know... we should play SFC series. Those are the best series ever man. I remember the days back in 1999 man. I remember I worked on Generations at War mod for Dynaverse too.

Yeah they released a patch a while ago for Armada 1 to make it work on Windows 7. Here is the link: http://www.moddb.com/games/star-trek-ar ... 13-project

Make sure you have the 1.2 patch installed before you play. Let me know if you ever want to play.

Shroombuck I am a huge SFC2: EAW fan, it's actually the game that got me in the community. Programs like tunngle now allows us to connect using LAN. If you ever want to play, I'm your man.

In a few months' time I will have been granted a leave of absence due to receiving the Royal Victorian Medal, so I will be your man then.

Argh, I could never really enjoy Armada 1. I started playing Armada 2 as my first Trek game, followed by Elite Force 1 and Bridge Commander.

I have Armada 2 installed, if anybody wants to play.

I never embraced Armada as a competitive RTS. I liked the Campaign though.

When did you guys start playing it? Armada 1 was widely considered as one if not the best ST game ever made and was widely popular back in the early 2000's. The multiplayer games were my favorite since it really is where you could discover complete new strategic aspects that made the game really awesome (for me at least). Had they not closed the server, I am convinced it would still be played to this day.
Thank you,
