I'm looking forward to this expansion, but I agree with everyone on here where the cost for it is NOT worth it.
I'll probably play as far up as I can with the Free version though, and I look forward to seeing more people online in STO :)

I think there is a misconception regarding the expansion. Allow me to clarify.
The expansion is free. It includes a major UI update/overhaul and the ability to play as a Klingon and Romulan from 1-50. This connotes a great deal of added content at no cost.
The Legacy Pack and Starter Pack is a collection of goodies separate from the expansion that is entirely optional. In fact 90% is aesthetic or cosmetic. Only the Retrofits have influence on the game. Even then, those ships in the Legacy Pack for example will be available in the C-store as per normal.
There is no obligation to buy a thing to enjoy Legacy of Romulus.
