Has anyone heard of this?
Last update for this project was in 2009, but the Alpha is playable.

Re: Birth of the Federation 2 - (Spiritual)
I like botf and this looks cool. Is c#/xna bases (out of date) but intriguing. Not real time so could do well in c#. If they are not continuing development maybe I will pirae it! To finish of course.

I grabbed the code for this. A strategy star trek game. I love those kinds of games, but nobody seems to want to play them, they want real time. I prefer strategy games myself. Take less to be able to run but can last for hours and a well written one is never boring.

I too love strategy games. Armada 1 was my favorite ST game of all time.
Thank you,

Re: Birth of the Federation 2 - (Spiritual)
I actually came up with a way to combine things. I changed to a BOTF style strategy game with some Armada idea mixed in. Then the combat is not a simplified one but will be more like BC/SFC3 for combat. A strategy game with real 3D style tactical combat. Already converted what was done to this new one. And without the customizeable ships and characters. For now. Will add later but cuts months off the development.

.
I really am not a fan of playing RTS in multiplayer.
Mainly because most of them seem to focus on rush tactics vs actual strategy.
