Re: The Glory, the nakedness!
I don't expect I shall return, in fact I mean not to. I'm too busy with real life; with reading, with writing philosophical essays and enjoying the green grass, the little rivers and the blue sky. After all, I think that the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer personal growth and experiences. I believe that half the trouble in the world comes from people asking 'What have I achieved?' rather than 'What have I enjoyed?'. Live a good life. In the end it's not the years in a life, but the life in the years!Warfire wrote:The old familiar warmth that the forums bring will seep back into your bones until you can resist no longer. May the road rise up to meet you all and may the wind be ever at your backs. May the sun shine warm upon your faces and the rain fall softly on your fields. Until we may meet again, gentlemen!

I completely agree Shroombuck, very well said. I often forget about that truth. I have always had the philosophy that you have one life to surpass yourself and give a meaningful contribution to this world. I often forget to just stop and enjoy life for it's experiences and stop caring about this enormous weight that is destiny.

This making you able to start over the next day!Shroombuck wrote: After all, I think that the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer personal growth and experiences.

I'm glad I provided some new insight, even if it was unintentional.
In that light, a poem especially for you, Picard:
I was born to see,
Looking is my vocation;
I am faithful to my watchtower,
And the world pleases me.
I gaze into the distance;
I see what is close to me:
The moon and stars,
The woods and the deer.
I find everlasting grace
In so many things;
And because I love them,
I am happy in myself.
My happy eyes
Have found great beauty in the world,
Though the world is as it is.

Well, if we're all joining in on the conversation...
Hi all. Hope you're all doing just swell. If any of you are interested, I'm itching for a few games of A2.

Good to hear your enjoying life Shroombuck.
I compare our lives today with the neanderthals daily routine and catch myself laughing. Burdens are necessary but we often forget that, it is our choice.

I make one Oath and the riff-raff follow one by one. Sigh, as it always goes.

Well, peace and security, order and freedom are the deepest political needs of all societies. These four things are what all people want from government. When these are obtained, people can themselves pursue the natural human goal of individual happiness.EVOXSNES wrote:I compare our lives today with the neanderthals daily routine and catch myself laughing.
